    1. The load must be a pure resistive load;
    2. It must be used off-grid.

  • ECO Mode

Power saving mode. When this function is turned on, if the AC or DC of the machine has no equipment or the load power is too small, the machine will automatically turn off the AC or DC after a period of time to reduce the machine's self-consumption and save power. The specific power and time can be set in the APP.

    • Upgrade the firmware to the latest version using the app.
    • Set the "DC 1/2 Input Source" to "PV" for solar charging.
    • Check for any error codes.
    • Check if the total open-circuit voltage of the solar panels is within the range of 12V~150V.
    • Tap the PV icon to check for any DC input voltage issues under good sunlight conditions.
    • If PV input voltage is low, there might be a solar panel or DC input cable issue; contact BLUETTI support.
    • Use the other set MC4 connectors on the DC input cable to connect to the solar panel.
    • Charge with a car. If it works, the issue is with the solar panel. If so, please contact us.
  • Why is the solar input power too low?

    • Upgrade the firmware to the latest version using the app.
    • Before charging, set the DC Input Source to PV.
    • Solar input power typically exceeds 70% of the maximum input, with optimal efficiency between 70% and 80%. However, solar intensity varies depending on location.
    • Connect solar panels in series for optimal performance. Connecting them in parallel may waste energy due to the 12A current limit.
    • If connected to a solar panel with an open-circuit voltage below 30V, the unit has a current limit of 8A.
    • Tilt the solar panels to directly face the sun.
    • Keep the panels clear of shade to maintain efficiency and prevent damage.
    • Clean the solar panel surface with a dry and soft cloth.
    • Tap the PV icon to check for any DC input voltage issues under good sunlight conditions.
    • Use the same type of solar panels to maintain efficiency and prevent damage.
    • It's normal when nearly fully charged, as the unit switches to trickle charging to prevent overcharging, thereby limiting the charging power.
    • Watch out for high internal temperature, as it limits the charging power.
    • If it's too cold outside, check the ambient temperature. Low internal temperatures will limit charging power. Connect loads to the unit to raise the internal temperature and increase the input power.
    • Portable solar panels are designed for temporary use and not suitable for permanent outdoor or rooftop installations. Prolonged exposure to rain can reduce their efficiency and lifespan.
  • How to check the unit’s error code?

To check the error code, you have two options:

    • Press the AC power button and LED lamp button simultaneously.
    • Tap in the upper right corner of the app's operation status page.
  • Why am I unable to connect the unit via Bluetooth, or why is the connection unstable?

    • Update the app to the latest version.
    • Restart the unit.
    • Toggle your phone's Bluetooth off and on again.
    • Ensure your phone has a strong signal.
    • Restart the app.
  • Why is there abnormal noise during AC charging? Why is the fan so loud? Why does the fan sometimes start and sometimes stop?

The fan runs to cool the unit during charging and discharging. It may start or stop based on internal temperature. You can enable Silent Charging mode in the app to reduce noise.

Note: Silent Charging mode lowers fan noise by reducing the charging power. Even in Silent Charging mode, the fan will still operate if discharging power or internal temperature gets too high.

  • Why does the unit shut down automatically?

    • Check if the unit is recharging, powering a load, or in ECO mode.
    • If not recharging and both AC and DC outputs are off, the unit shuts down after a period of inactivity.
    • With ECO mode on and a low or no load, the AC and DC outputs turn off after 1 to 4 hours (as set in the app), followed by the unit shutting down after a while.
    • If charging only with solar panels and neither AC nor DC is activated, the unit stops charging and shuts down at night and restarts with morning sunlight.
    • The unit shuts down if it runs out of power.
  • Why is the AC input power too low?

    • Check if the Silent Charging Mode is enabled — it can reduce charging power.
    • When the charging power is low, assess the work situation, State of Charge (SoC), and the battery's internal temperature. Factors like battery voltage, SoC, and temperature can affect charging power. Extreme levels may trigger the unit to limit power for battery protection.
    • It's normal when nearly fully charged, as the unit switches to trickle charging to prevent overcharging, thereby limiting the charging power.
    • If the battery SOC is very low, charging power may decrease temporarily.
    • If the internal temperature is too high, shut down the unit, and let it rest for 3 hours before restarting charging.
    • If it's too cold outside, check the ambient temperature. Low internal temperatures will limit charging power. Connect loads to the unit to raise the internal temperature and increase the input power.
  • Why isn’t the unit generating AC output?

    • Ensure the AC output is activated.
    • Press both the AC and DC power buttons simultaneously to access Settings, then press the AC power button to switch the appropriate AC frequency.
    • Keep the unit within the temperature range of -4°F to 104°F (-20°C to 40°C).
    • Check for alerts shown on the LCD display.
    • Press the AC power button and LED lamp button simultaneously to check for any error codes.
    • Test AC outlet voltage with a multimeter.
    • Try powering other loads if no issues are found.
