      • Charge with a car. If it works, the issue is with the solar panel. If so, please contact us.
    19. Why is the solar input power too low?

      • Upgrade the firmware to the latest version using the app.
      • Before charging, set the DC Input Source to PV.
      • Solar input power typically exceeds 70% of the maximum input, with optimal efficiency between 70% and 80%. However, solar intensity varies depending on location.
      • Connect solar panels in series for optimal performance. Connecting them in parallel may waste energy due to the 12A current limit.
      • If connected to a solar panel with an open-circuit voltage below 30V, the unit has a current limit of 8A.
      • Tilt the solar panels to directly face the sun.
      • Keep the panels clear of shade to maintain efficiency and prevent damage.
      • Clean the solar panel surface with a dry and soft cloth.
      • Tap the PV icon to check for any DC input voltage issues under good sunlight conditions.
      • Use the same type of solar panels to maintain efficiency and prevent damage.
      • It's normal when nearly fully charged, as the unit switches to trickle charging to prevent overcharging, thereby limiting the charging power.
      • Watch out for high internal temperature, as it limits the charging power.
      • If it's too cold outside, check the ambient temperature. Low internal temperatures will limit charging power. Connect loads to the unit to raise the internal temperature and increase the input power.
      • Portable solar panels are designed for temporary use and not suitable for permanent outdoor or rooftop installations. Prolonged exposure to rain can reduce their efficiency and lifespan.
    20. Why does the PV input power drop significantly when powering heavy loads and recover when the load is removed?

      • Upgrade the firmware to the latest version using the app.
      • If your issue persists, please contact BLUETTI Customer Service and provide your device SN and firmware version. You can find the SN and the firmware information on the Product info. page.

      • Why is the AC input power too low?

        • Check if the Grid Max. Input Current setting is too low.
        • Check if the Silent Charging Mode is enabled — it can reduce charging power.
        • When the charging power is low, assess the work situation, State of Charge (SoC), and the battery's internal temperature. Factors like battery voltage, SoC, and temperature can affect charging power. Extreme levels may trigger the unit to limit power for battery protection.
        • It's normal when nearly fully charged, as the unit switches to trickle charging to prevent overcharging, thereby limiting the charging power.
        • If the battery SOC is very low, charging power may decrease temporarily.
        • If the internal temperature is too high, shut down the unit, and let it rest for 3 hours before recharging.
        • If it's too cold outside, check the ambient temperature. Low internal temperatures will limit charging power. Connect loads to the unit to raise the internal temperature and increase the input power.
      • Why am I unable to charge the unit when connected to the D300S?

        • Ensure the total open-circuit voltage falls between 120V and 500V; otherwise, the D300S cannot be activated due to low input voltage.
        • Set "DC 1/2 Input Source" to "Others" and turn off "PV Parallel Enable".
        • Ensure the D300S is switched on.
        • Connect the solar panels directly to the AC300 and set "DC 1/2 Input Source" to "PV" to test solar charging.
      • Why does the meter connected to the AC outlet show less power than the unit’s screen?

The units shows apparent power, including both active and reactive power, while the meter displays active power only.

      • Why isn’t the unit showing AC output power for the low-power appliance?

This is normal. Use a high-power appliance instead to confirm if the unit is operating normally.

      • Why can’t the unit charge the RV or EV?

Some RVs and EVs require the charging equipment to be grounded, but the AC300 is floating-grounded when off-grid.

        • Ground the unit. Contact BLUETTI support for further assistance.
      • What causes fast battery drainage? Why does the battery level significantly change during charging or use? Why are the battery SoC readings abnormal?

        • Assess the discharging time first, taking the depth of discharge (DoD), discharge efficiency (η), and the unit's self-consumption power into account.
          Discharging Time (estimated) = Battery Capacity × DoD × η ÷ (load power+self-consumption power)
Both the DoD and η are 90%.
        • Upgrade the BMS to the latest version using the app.
        • Perform a State of Charge (SoC) recalibration by discharging the battery to 0% and then fully charging it without any loads connected.
        • It's recommended to turn off both AC and DC when there's no device connected.
        • When connecting multiple expansion batteries, connect only one to the AC300 and try to identify which one has failed.
        • If the cell temperature is between -4°F to 32°F (-20°C to 0°C), the battery's discharge capacity decreases significantly.
        • If your issue persists, please contact BLUETTI Customer Service and provide your device SN and firmware version. You can find the SN and the firmware information on the Product info. page.
      • Why can’I switch the AC output voltage or frequency?

        • Ensure the DC output is activated.
        • Charge again using the other wireless charging pad.
        • Remove the phone case before charging.
        • Place the phone in the center of the charging pad.
        • Check the phone's temperature. If it's overheated, allow it to cool down first.
        • Check if the DC output is working properly.
        • Try using a different brand of phone to determine if the issue is with the phone's compatibility with the charging pad.
      • Why isn’t the split-phase system charging from the generator?

        • Upgrade the firmware to the latest version using the app.
        • If the "Grid" icon isn't yellow and the AC input voltage is 0V, make sure the AC charging cable is securely connected to both the unit and the wall outlet. Ensure the connector is twisted in place or try a different wall outlet.
        • Set the AC output voltage and frequency correctly. Go to the AC Input page and check if the input voltage and frequency fall within the unit's specifications.
        • Switch to the standard UPS mode, other UPS modes will not charge AC under some operating conditions.
        • Check for any error codes.
        • Test if a single AC300 unit charges from the generator.
        • Lower the Max. grid input current settings for the AC300 on the screen.
        • If your issue persists, please contact BLUETTI Customer Service and provide your device SN and firmware version. You can find the SN and the firmware information on the Product info. page.
      • Unit’s Error Code: 024/064

        • Check if these error codes appear during split-phase charging.
        • If so, use the split-phase AC charging cable for charging instead of two standard AC charging cables.
      • Why is the power button flashing?

        • Restart the pack.
        • Check if the B300 can power on and connect to the app when connected to the AC300. If yes, upgrade the BMS to the latest version.
        • Turn on the B300 separately from the AC300. If the power button doesn't flash and it operates normally, the issue may be with the AC300.
        • If the power button is flashing due to temperature rise, power off the B300 and let it cool down for 3 hours. If it's too cold outside, move the battery to a warmer area for 3 hours. Or, charge the battery or run the load to raise the internal temperature before recharging.
        • Perform a State of Charge (SoC) recalibration by discharging the battery to 0% and then fully charging it without any loads connected if it can discharge when fully charged.
